Takehisa Yumeji

Naoi, Schenk, and de Vries present students, academics, researchers, and general interest readers with a collection of reproduced images from and essays regarding nineteenth and twentieth-century Japanese artist Takehisa Yumeji. The authors have organized their contributions to the text alongside a roughly chronological catalog of the artist’s commercial and fine artwork. Nozomi Naoi is a faculty member of Yale-NUS College, Singapore. Sabine Schenk is a faculty member of Heidelberg University and Visiting Lecturer at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Germany.
