Focusing less on emotions themselves than on the language of emotion, Kovecses (English, Eotvos Lorand U., Budapest) utilizes the cognitive models of emotions inherent in the conventionalized linguistic expressions used to describe the emotions. In so doing, he creates a language-based model of the emotions that is rich in conceptual content and fully integrates the cognitivist and physiologist views.
