This third edition of this guide for college students with learning disabilities provides new chapters on critical thinking and lectures and offers expanded web features, including the entire
text of the book in Microsoft Word. Opening chapters explore differences in how students with learning disabilities think and learn. Subsequent chapters offer advice on note taking, reading
strategies, answering essay questions, writing genres, and grammar and punctuation, in addition to math study skills, exam techniques, presentations, collaborative learning, and dissertations.
Within each chapter are many web links for free or trial-version tools, apps, and software, and each chapter ends with a list of links for resources and organizations. The guide is illustrated
with b&w diagrams, charts, and screenshots in a reader-friendly layout with case boxes, summary charts, and key points. The companion web site offers the entire text of the book in
Microsoft Word with color figures so that students can easily use text-to-speech software or change the color of the background. The web site also offers study resources including planners and
customizable essay and note taking templates. Annotation ©2016 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
