Picking up where the first volume ended, Taylor presents a two-volume course to provide a fast track to passing the Classical Greek component of the General Certificate of Secondary Education
(GCSE), now accepted by the Oxford, Cambridge, and RSA (OCR) examination. He has designed it specially for students with limited time, where, for example Greek is an extracurricular activity or
is taught within periods allocated to Latin. He concentrates on the essentials, the grammar and vocabulary required for GCSE Greek. He assumes that most readers will know some Latin, and makes
comparisons, but Latin is not required. There is no grand theory or linguistic dogma here, he says, just what he has learned students need and how they can learn it best. Annotation ©2017
