Wagner presents readers with a collection of essays investigating politics and the economy, arguing that the typical treatment of government as outside of the realm of business is wrong and
destructive to both capitalism and society. The author investigates public choice and the Virginia tradition of political economy, alternative paths for a theory of political economy, systems
theory and parts-to-whole relationships, the logic of economizing action, and a wide variety of other subjects. Wagner is a faculty member of George Mason University in Virginia. Annotation
