Bank Business Models Monitor 2014: Europe

The first of a new series of publications from the Center for European Policy Studies analyzes the evolving business models of the European banking sector since 2006. The slim report compiles data on the business model, profitability, asset and liability structure, earnings performance, and stability of 147 banks holding 80% of assets in the EU banking industry, calculates the contribution of each business model to the real economy, and assesses the risks associated with investment, wholesale, diversified retail, and focused retail banks.
