Swish and Wish

Swish and Wish by Jean Swainston is a lively and informative book on looking for buried objects; the art of Detecting. Jean has developed a passion for Detecting and passes on some of her passion to her grandchildren, who are more than pleased to be involved, and then finds that more people want to ’have a go’. Jean’s use of the narrative in recording her conversations with her grandchildren, husband and others, including the advice she gives them, enables the reader to glean a good deal of useful information on the subject. This is a very readable book which will appeal to both adults and children.
