內容簡介

The Louisiana Landmarks Society has been responsible for saving and preserving the Pitot House in New Orleans. The structure is one of the most important colonial houses in the Americas. This book tells its history, how it was about to be torn down and how it was saved, moved and rehabilitated. The Pitot House is a "Creole country house" in style, one of the few remaining examples. The book contains many old black and white photos as well as color photographs of the details of the house, along with other photos related to its history.
