This volume collects short monologues and dramatic scenes for stage from Steinberg/America Theatre Critics Association New Play Award Finalists (2008-2012). They are organized by male-female, male-male and female-female casting as well as multiple character scenes. They are very brief or ＂immediate＂ treatments and are no longer than three or four pages in most cases. Each piece has a heading that lists the casting, the place, and the circumstances.
