Irish writer Yeats (1865-1939) worked nine years on the play The Resurrection between two rough scenarios sketched in January 1925 and the opening at the Abbey Theater in July 1934. This volume
presents early drafts and other manuscript materials relevant to it. As in the series as a whole, reproductions are presented facing pages with transcriptions. They are arranged in sections on
the first version: manuscripts and proofs 1925/6-1927; the second version: manuscript, typescripts, and proofs 1929-34; and the Introduction to the play 1931-34. Manuscripts relating to the
design for stage and costumes and the music are appended. There is no index. Annotation 穢2011 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
