true meaning to his dull life, and regain old illusions, old loves that have been cast aside for the time and decency. Staying at a pension of Raval, intimate with the owner and gradually
discovers that reality is harder than he suspected. Far from Havana and what was his world, only a ghostly image reappears in his memory: that of an old fellow in a sugar harvest, a classical
dancer that promised in his youth, would end up acting with a famous company of Montecarlo Russian Ballet. Is the trip a flight, a final opportunity granted like the protagonist, an adjustment
not decoded in the past, or the assumption of an end?
