The Coast to Coast walk runs for 184 miles (296km) through the finest scenery in northern England. Its end points, the lovely villages of St Bees and Robin Hood's Bay, are both accessible by
public transport. The whole walk takes most people from 12 to 16 days, and can readily be completed in two separate weeks.
Devised by the legendary Alfred Wainwright, the route passes through three national parks - the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors - areas rich in history, heritage and
