Environmental Indicators for Building Design: Development and Application on Mexican Dwellings

This study, carried out by the Delft Center for Sustainable Urban Areas in the Netherlands, develops a method to asses the design of buildings in terms of environmental sustainability. The goal of the assessment is to aid in decreasing environmental impact and increasing sustainability potential during the building's life cycle. After describing the method, the study then applies it to develop strategies to improve the environmental performance of housing in Mexico.
