Social Accounting Matrix for India: Concepts, Constructions And Applications

A social accounting matrix (SAM) for the Indian economy is presented in this book. It addresses the need for a detailed SAM for India, which classifies household incomes by sources of income from different occupations. It distinguishes sixty sectors of production and six categories of occupational households separately for rural and urban areas.
