A compendium of Hispanic women's tales, or cuentos , gathered during the Great Depression as part of the Works Progress Administration. Rebolledo (Spanish, U. of New Mexico) and M�rquez (U. of New Mexico, Center for Southwest Research) gathered the records of two female WPA interviewers and reproduce many of the firsthand accounts in this book.
