Author Yuefan Deng presents students and academics with an examination of the composition and solving of a wide variety of ordinary differential equations drawn from the fields of engineering,
economics, finance, and the sciences. The author has organized the main body of his text in five chapters devoted to first-order differential equations, mathematical models, linear DES of
higher order, systems of linear DES, and Laplace transforms. The text also includes five appendices devoted to additional Laplace transforms, derivatives and integrals, teaching plans, and
