戴夫‧艾格斯 Dave Eggers

　　1970 年生，成長於芝加哥郊區，畢業於伊利諾厄巴納香檳大學，後於舊金山創辦獨立出版社 McSweeney’s，出版書籍、專門刊登新創作的季刊 McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern、The Believer 月刊，以及以口述歷史揭露全球人權危機的非營利書系「證人之聲」（Voice of Witness）。艾格斯 2002 年與人共同創辦非營利機構 826 Valencia，於舊金山教會區開設少年寫作課程與課業輔導班，後於七個美國城市創設姊妹機構，統稱 826 National，都柏林、倫敦、哥本哈根、斯德哥爾摩、美國阿拉巴馬州伯明罕等地也先後開設理念相近的非營利機構。艾格斯的作品曾獲美國國家圖書獎（National Book Award）、普立茲獎（Pulitzer Prize）、美國國家書評獎（National Book Critics Circle Award）提名，並榮獲戴頓文學和平獎（Dayton Literary Peace Prize）、法國梅迪奇文學獎（Prix Médicis）、德國信天翁文學獎（Albatross Prize）、美國國家雜誌獎（National Magazine Award），以及美國圖書獎（American Book Award）。著有暢銷小說《怪才的荒誕與憂傷》（天下文化）等書，現與家人居於美國北加州。
