Mission Telemark

　　Norway, December 1942. Following the German occupation of the power plant at Vemork in southern Norway, the British government has become aware that Hitler is trying to find a way to use the heavy water it produces to make a nuclear weapon. One mission to destroy the power plant has already failed and time is running out. 　　Amanda Mitchison is an experienced journalist who has worked for a number of publications including the New Statesman, the Independent Magazine, and the Sunday Telegraph Magazine. Her children’s biography of David Livingstone was short-listed for the 2003 Blue Peter Award. Mission Telemark is Amanda's first novel. She lives in Bristol with her husband and two sons.
