內容簡介

This book compiles research by scholars from the Global South on what should succeed the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The research is an output of Southern Voice on Post-MDG International Development Goals (Southern Voice), a network of 48 thinks tanks from Africa, Asia and Latin America, which serves as an open platform to make contributions to the international discourse on the new development agenda.

One of Southern Voice’s main activities since its inception in June 2012 has been the generation of original research studies by Southern experts on various aspects of the post-2015 development agenda, such as the missing dimensions of the MDGs, ways to mitigate previously encountered challenges in delivering on aspired goals, and new issues, goals, targets and indicators that are crucial for the next global development framework. More specifically, the chapters featured in the volume deliberate upon five concurrent themes tied to the post-2015 agenda: Overarching issues of the Development Agenda; Sustainability and Growth; Inclusion and Social Policies; Governance and Capacities; and Financing.

This edited collection will be of great interest to scholars and students of economics, development studies, political science, social science, regional studies, governance and international relations as well as think tanks researching on the post-2015 international development agenda.
