Obsession

Jade, still unemployed in Grand Junction, agrees to return if she can get her job as ACA back. Her unethical boss agrees to hire her back if she’ll help him dig up dirt on the Steels. She agrees as long as it’s done by legal means. She wonders at his interest in the Steels, but she has her own reasons for wanting to dig up information on them.
Jade continues the work she was doing—researching the Steels for her boss. One name keeps popping up—Wendy Madigan, a CNN correspondent. Jade decides to contact Wendy without telling her boss. They meet, and Wendy at first refuses to discuss the Steels, until Jade tells her she’s in love with Talon and wants to help him. Turns out Wendy was having an affair with Bradford Steel during the time that Daphne was pregnant with Marjorie. Between the Steels’ money and Wendy’s clout with the media, they were able to cover up something that happened before Marjorie was born.
