The sixth book of the BryteCloud Series - At Last I See - begins as Claire has just accompanied Henry and Louetta Wolfe for a week at the Wolfe Reunion near Santeetlah Lake in Western North
Carolina.Claire enjoys the time there and more importantly enjoys the break from her Father’s "Suitor Plan." With no one actively pursuing Claire, it is a great relief to enjoy the beautiful
mountains and to spend time with two of the younger members of the Wolfe family - Rachel and Zevah. Claire does meet their brother Nate at the reunion but stays away from him. She has had
enough of men and their crazy ways.At Quaker Meadows, things are quiet. Claire’s parents - Daniel and Hannah Bryte Cloud are expecting their fourth child and they are both consumed with morning
sickness. Daniel is experiencing a sympathetic morning sickness and the two of them are too sick to do much. On New Year’s Day, Claire receives a visit from Louetta. Louetta has something
extremely important to give to Claire and their meeting has to be very private. Claire is honored by Louetta’s gift and the gift gives her the determination to stay at Quaker Meadows and not
run from the tenseness there. Louetta also tells Claire that there’s more to the instructions that Henry gave her.Claire had been spending part of the day once a week on one of the taller
peaks. She had been asking for guidance and for happiness and generally hoping to figure life out. When Louetta tells her she has left out one part of the request Henry gave her, Claire decides
to make the trip up the mountain peak on the first day of the year. She dutifully completes that part of the directions and feels that her life will change. The last part of the directions were
that she should ask that her eyes be opened to be people around her and their selfishness.Claire feels confident that she has carried out the directions. As she returns down the mountainside
she sees Juno Carver working on a fence outside his property. Normally Juno would have avoided her by going in at the sight of her, but the wind is blowing hard this January day and he doesn’t
see or hear her coming down the mountain. They talk briefly; Juno has no choice. Juno bows out of the cheese business with Claire and Claire feels entirely free of her obligations to him as her
orphanage brother. On a whim, she asks Juno to do one thing. "Please Juno, this can be my birthday and Christmas present for the rest of time." Juno surprises her by honoring the request.
Instead of solving things, Claire’s request of Juno complicates things. For the rest of the year, Claire begins to see others’ selfish motives. She watches Ethan continue to complicate his life
by chasing women. She watches as the other men in her life continue to play out their sadness and wrong thinking. When Claire’s parents travel to Greenwich, Connecticut to await the arrival of
their baby, Claire decides that paying them at visit will be the perfect way to get away from Juno and Quaker Meadows. In Connecticut, Claire meets Wenn Girard again. Wenn is the man she met in
Paris and the man who was kind enough to bring Lily Carver home when Lily was arrested there.Instead of solving things, the meeting with Wenn and the deceitfulness of her orphanage sister, Lily
complicate life even more. It is at Ethan’s huge party for the latest woman in his life that Claire hears some sweet words from someone who really cares for her.
