Retired veteran Ronald Wallace is an old man quietly living out his remaining years in lonely isolation, waiting for the inevitable. Since leaving the RAF after the War he has lead a very
ordinary life and does his best to suppress many haunting memories of his wartime service. But the death of an old friend, Hutch, brings a puzzle from beyond the grave which shatters his
ordered way of life. Often during the War his fate seemed to be controlled by the fall of dice and now he must roll them to decide if he should risk all to discover why Hutch went AWOL in the
last days of the War. Ronald knows he will have to revisit his wartime service and deal with the horrors and intrigue that lie waiting to be unleashed. Perhaps the answer lies in the meeting of
three families in Berlin in 1936 where friendships and love would be tested by the War. He can hear Hutch saying Go on, Ronno, roll the dice.
