Watching over the blooded battlefield strewn with thousand of bodies are an eastern magician and an ancient druid, who offer the enemies an extraordinary resolution to decide who will be crowned King. The two warriors are to assemble pieces to go to war in a game of chess, like no other. The journey will take them to all four corners of the globe and through many pivotal points in time. From an inhospitable Viking tavern to the grandeur of the colosseum in Rome, a mysterious dark count and a skilled samurai are just a few of the potential recruits for a potentially devastating battle of which there can be only one victor.
