Computers in Railways XV: Railway Engineering Design and Operation

Forty-two papers from the 2016 conference present recent research on the automation and control of railway systems, and the optimization of railway components and operations. The contributors propose a validation tool for train control software, static frequency converters for 50 Hz railway traction power supply substations, and an algorithm for scheduling rolling stock maintenance. Other topics include smart train crew management, capacity analysis of suburban rail networks, monitoring slag aggregate for track bed layers, railway safety in Indonesia, and a vertical semi-active suspension system.
