This work contains 18 papers from the 1st International Conference on Islamic Heritage, held in Valencia in 2016. The papers examine designs of public buildings, houses and gardens, and
religious buildings, with special emphasis on conservation of classical Islamic urban design and architecture and on the impact of classical Islamic architecture on Western architecture and
design. Some topics explored include sustainable architecture in Egypt, spatial geometry in Islamic art and architecture, the Cyberjaya Green Platinum Mosque Project in Malaysia, urban
