The Palace of Sweets

The Palace of Sweets contains four story lines: the Vietnam War, the arson bombing of Sponge Rubber, the explosion of River Restaurant and the attempted takeover of Derby Savings Bank by Great Country Bank. These stores are bundled together by a deep and enduring love story. The book is a historical novel based on actual events that took place in the Lower Naugatuck Valley of Connecticut between 1967 and 1990.
