This two-volume, second edition of Catalyst explores the current pedagogy at the University of Virginia School of Architecture, tracing its faculty lineage back through time in the volume
Lineages and its plans for the future in Trajectories. This set is built upon the foundation of the school’s Paper Matters seminar, which explored the school’s identity and projection of its
image during the 2013-2014 academic year. This edition is based upon interviews with the architecture and landscape architecture faculties and presents a chronological arrangement of
information gleaned from events, conversations, and attitudes captured throughout the school’s history. Catalyst also includes two maps constructed from the content gathered during its
