This fashion study makes use of ethnographic research, participant observation, and interviews with contemporary German “sixties stylers” (those who revive 1960s British Mod fashions) to
investigate the history of vintage styles in fashion and youth culture and to examine fashion as a mode of cultural memory. The book details how clothing of the 1960s is used as part of the
practices and processes of identification and social relationships in the context of youth culture. Back and white photos are included. Annotation ©2016 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR
