Music As Image: Analytical Psychology and Music in Film

Nagari uses core ideas of analytical psychology in both original Jungian and contemporary post-Jungian forms to show that music and sound in film, standing alongside visual images, become images themselves. He discusses the psychological image: a Jungian perspective on imaging and imagination, music as image: the encounter of visual and non-visual in film, and close encounters of the musical kind: an analysis of the music-images in three films.
