Industrial and organizational psychologists explore several facets of the aging workforce in a collection intended to be multicultural, interdisciplinary, use-inspired, person-centric, and
future-oriented. They address issues in organizations and teams going global, patterns of employment and unemployment, challenges facing specific workforce sectors, practical workplace changes
and challenges, and differences and discrimination. Among the topics are an integrative perspective on human resource management and sustainability at work across the lifespan, implications of
changes in job demands for the continued and future employment of older workers, workplace intervention effectiveness across the lifespan, and employment transitions in late adulthood.
