Despite the availability of many technological advances, like electric cars and electronic patient records, many innovations are slow to take hold. The editors of this book bring together
experts to explore how agents use policy instruments to govern change of socio-technological systems. In doing so they address the issue of how state and non-state actors interact to affect
changes in society with regards to technology. Specific topics covered include the use of technological standards in the development of biodegradable plastics, regulation of medical devices and
entrepreneurship and the governance of biomedical innovation. Annotation ©2015 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
