In autumn 2012, the National Trust launched its "Great British Walk" campaign. They are putting 100 of the best walks in a pocket-sized paperback. From Stonehenge to Sutton Hoo, from spooks
in East England to shipwrecks in Cornwall, from mountains to beaches, this a great guide to get you outdoors and exploring the glories of the English landscape. The walks are organized
regionally and range from 2 miles to 8 miles in length. Family-friendly walks are specially flagged, as are walks that are particularly good at certain times of year. Each walk includes a
brief introduction, a map, step-by-step directions, and things to look out for, including historical sites, birds, and plants.
