Jusdanis presents readers with an investigation of the ethics, aesthetics, and politics of friendship, incorporating readings of texts from the beginnings of writing through to contemporary
works, as well as theoretical perspectives from a variety of disciplines, including philosophy, sociology, psychology, political theory, and evolutionary biology. The author has organized the
