Resolving to catch a catfish that swallowed his sick mother's wedding ring, Sawyer Brown, a boy from a catfish farm in rural Mississippi, teams up with his friends and his stowaway little sister on an adventure in the bayou, where they tackle a sneaky poacher and the meanest and smartest catfish they have ever encountered.
