內容簡介
A hybrid-form text in the creative writing genre, designed for general readers interested in nature, this book is the result of the author’s work creating a folklore for Yalgorup, a coastal
wetland national park in Australia. The book’s first half is creative nonfiction, a combination of reflective essays in the style of science and nature writing and a nature diary illustrated
with small color photographs of Yalgorup. The second half is a book of poetry. While the result is an extended mediation on place, the author is trained as a journalist, and the book combines
information on the national park, reflections on writers such as Barry Lopez, first-hand observations, and material learned from Noongar people, the native inhabitants of the area. Distributed
