into English of a book originally published in French. The book begins in 1920 and ends in 2012. Its vision of international fashion is world conquest by the French, rendered at lightning speed
in the last pages. There is no discussion of the fashion and design history of other nations, men’s fashion, or international fashion outside this context. The book is highly illustrated with
