內容簡介

Social scientists and scholars of literature explore social, cultural, and political dimensions of the recent flow of women’s migration from Eastern Europe to western countries, focusing on narratives of dislocation and relocation written about and/or by East European women. They consider transnationalism, diversity, and representations in women’s migration; migration, gender roles, and stories of success; narratives of trauma and displacement; and the question of return. Most of the 14 essays are from a September 2012 conference in Bucharest. Distributed in the US by ISBS. Annotation ©2014 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
