A tale set in a Katrina-ravaged Mississippi of the near future follows the experiences of a man who elects to remain behind when ongoing storms force most people to flee and who is brutally attacked by two hitchhikers who steal his supplies and family mementos, a crime that prompts him to pursue justice for everything he has lost.
