Jumping at an opportunity to care for the class pet ferret over the weekend for extra credit, 10-year-old Zaritza, a reluctant math student, finds caregiving duties boring until the ferret accidentally escapes its cage, prompting Zaritza to invent bigger and bigger excuses to cover up the resulting mayhem.
