Fourteen papers presented at the May/June 2011 conference held at the University of Ottawa celebrate the achievements of Alain Parguez in economic theory, political economy, and policy. The
contributors comment on Parguez?s critique of post-Keynesian monetary theory, the Eurozone economic and monetary union, economic policies, and economic structures. Other papers question the
capital requirements for banks under Basel III, the austerity policies and fiscal consolidation pursued during the financial crisis, proposed legislation for reforming private banks, and the
ability of external capital investment to create production spaces and employment in Mexico. Annotation ©2014 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
