This collection surveys new directions in organizational trust research and recent developments in trust as a governance mechanism, trust across organizations, societal trust, and the process
of repairing public trust after the financial crisis. Topics of the 12 papers include the interplay between hierarchical control and intrinsic motivation, the role of trust in the negotiation
process, the uncertain nature of innovation, the distinction between intra-cultural trust and inter-cultural trust, and the economic theory of the firm. During the peer review process, drafts
written by US-based authors were sent to European-based reviewers and vice-versa. Annotation ©2014 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
