Dedicated to the exploration of the human need and ability to think in and through literary narrative, Popova, drawing on existing research in narratology, narrative psychology, and cognitive science, presents a theoretical outline of narrative understanding. She contends that the study of narrative presents a unique way to approach the study of the human mind. This book presents a view of the mind through narrative and explores how we think in narrative and how narrative helps us to think.
