內容簡介

The 12 chapters of this edited volume represent a beginning attempt to set out a common language, analytical framework, and theoretical basis for thinking about networks and the managerial, cultural, and institutional arrangements for sustaining effective networks in the public sector. The theoretical work is conducted around bringing together the various threads that together overcome the three main constraints that currently constrain the development of a comprehensive theory: the fragmentation of the research field, a tendency to rely on prior management literature based on interorganizational theory as the basis for all network research, and a propensity to treat networks as undifferentiated.
