內容簡介

This study of entrepreneurship in Latin America and the Caribbean reveals why the region’s many small firms fail to grow and fail to produce innovation and offers ideas on how government policies can encourage growth and innovation among entrepreneurs. Some subjects explored include types of firm creation, export entrepreneurship, foreign direct investment, and multinational corporations. The authors recommend ways to create an enabling environment to encourage entrepreneurship, by building human capital, improving transportation infrastructure, enhancing competition, and improving the contractual environment. The book contains color charts and graphs on every page. Its readership includes policy makers and those in business in the region. Annotation ©2014 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
