to his mysterious disappearance in the Gulf of Mexico. The complete and partial letters and postcards are not mere love letters but rather an introduction to a true character who embodied the
worries, activities, and audacities of early 20th-century culture. Even though Mina did not love Arthur at first, it is quite apparent in the content of this book that he was completely
struck by her immediately.
