The creative talents of individuals with Down syndrome are often on display at national Down syndrome conventions and other venues within the Down syndrome community. This collection of 100
paintings, ceramics, poetry, songs, and prose enables the rest of the population to realize that those with Down syndrome can be extremely talented artists and writers, and to appreciate the
great diversity in their work. The featured works were selected through a contest Woodbine House held during 2011 to 2012. The contributing artists and writers come from 21 states and Canada,
and range in age from 14 to their early 50s. The publishers hope to inspire those with Down syndrome, their parents, and teachers, and to inform general readers. Annotation ©2013 Book News,
