Weitzenboeck (Norwegian Research Center for Computers & Law, U. of Oslo, Norway) examines how contract and partnership law regulate and cope with the emerging forms of business enterprise
collectively labeled dynamic networks, inclusive of spontaneous and temporary virtual enterprises for specific projects, enterprise pools and virtual enterprises formed out of such pools, and
long-term dynamic networks with a lead partner. Chapters examine case studies that provide the empirical background for the analysis, the precontractual stage, the application of basic
questions of contract law to dynamic networks, the internal and legal relationships between the participants in dynamic networks during the operative phase of such networks, the elements of
national partnership law that apply and may override the wishes of contracting parties, and the notion of contractual networks associated with the series of contracts that often underlie
dynamic networks of business enterprise. Annotation ©2013 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
