Noting that the average lifespan of a Chinese enterprise is only 4.2 years, the author provides advice to Chinese companies on how to achieve greater longevity, stressing the well-being of the
enterprise managers and key staff and drawing lessons from the management approaches of such companies as Wal-Mart, Dell, and McDonald’s. The analysis of contemporary Chinese companies is drawn
from some 102 cases and is geared towards company well-being and the establishment of the proper "ecological" niche for companies. The English is frequently nonstandard, but is relatively easy
