Raccoon & Crawfish

Raccoon & Crawfish is the beautifully illustrated story of a fateful meeting between a scheming Crawfish and a hungry raccoon. An Oneida legend that has been passed down orally from elders to children for generations, the story begins at dusk as Eli is carrying firewood back to the camp. He had been looking forward to this outing with Grandfather all summer, when he would hear another Oneida Indian Legend. Tonight, Eli is to hear a story about the consequences of lying and boasting.
