內容簡介

This publication accompanies an exhibition by the same name, held at the Aspen Art Museum from December 2011 to February 2012. A collaboration between artist Slater Bradley and Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Ed Lachman, the exhibition represents the final body of work in Bradley's long-term doppelganger project. The catalogue contains a foreword by the Museum's director, Heidi Zuckerman Jacobson; full-color plates of Bradley's works entitled "Look Up and Stay in Touch," based on Lachman's Polaroids taken on the set of the film "Dark Blood," which was in production at the time of Phoenix's death; essays on Bradley's work; plates from Shadow (2010), based on Lachman's memories of working on Dark Blood; transcripts from Bradley and Lachman in conversation with Zuckerman Jacobson; and plates from Dead Ringer (2011), a three-channel video installation simultaneously presenting three different takes of the same shot. No subject index is provided. Annotation 穢2012 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
